<p>The device comprises a whole-body plethysmograph cabin, in which cabin-air and temporarily a N2O-mixture are breathed in from a gas-container, means being correlated to the respiratory tube, used for this purpose, for the detection of the breath-stream in the tube. A pressure-gauge is provided in the cabin for measuring pressure against a reference pressure, as well as means for compensating for pressure fluctuations in the cabin caused by thermal influences. The compensation-device used is a pressure-equilibrium system, controlled by the breath-current in the respiratory tube, in such a way that it adjusts the cabin-pressure to the reference-pressure for the duration of the inspiratory phase.</p> |
