<p>Each unit (41) is self-contained, comprising a bottom, sides and rear. The front is either open or fitted with one large drawer or two shallow drawers, one above the other. No top is provided, this being formed by the bottom of the drawer above. Several units are assembled together by tenons on one surface fitting into rebates on the adjacent surface. Top and base units are fitted, the complete assembly being rigidly held together by vertical tie rods (45) passing through corner bosses (47) inside each unit. One rod end screws into the top and the other end is locked using a nut and washer.</p> |
