1,036,709. Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure. RICHARDSON-MERRELL Inc. Jan. 8, 1965 [Jan. 13, 1964], No. 1036/65. Heading FIR. [Also in Division F2] Apparatus for actuating the delivery valve of a pressurized container at predetermined intervals comprises an electric or clockwork motor 20 driving a pinion 21, Fig. 2 (not shown), engaged by a pair of gears 22, 23 rotatably mounted on a common shaft 25, the lower gear 23 having a greater number of teeth than the upper gear 22, and being movable downwardly relative to the upper gear against spring 26 by the inter-engagement of cam members 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32, 33 when gear 22 "over takes" gear 23 during rotation, and the downward movement of gear 23 actuating the container valve button 40 through cam 34 on gear 23 and a cam 36 on a pivoted yoke 35. Cam 36 may be resilient to take up excessive actuating pressure. Apparatus housing 11 may be of resilient plastics and has a snap-on connection 12, 13 with the container.
|
