There is a cylinder in which slides a piston which has a tail piece ending in another piston which slides in another cylinder. In sliding, the first piston compresses a spring and connects with pistons moving in other cylinders and acting in opposition with the first piston due to pressure in the cylinders left after braking. During its movement in the first cylinder the piston uncovers two openings which allow brake fluid to enter the brake cylinders operating brake pistons on a transmission shaft. In the case of normal brake failure pressure is available to actuate the transmission brake and is given by loss of normal pressure.
|
