An elastomer based on a peroxide-crosslinked EP- or EPDM rubber blended with a polyolefin is used in mfr. of a sealing frame body(gaskets) in electrolytic cells contg. strong acid, esp. in fuel cells. The matl. combines stability to strong acids with thermal stability.
