The table grill comprises a movable upper heating plate and a lower heating plate which is supported in a housing which is also provided with a cleaning compartment which is provided with an insert slot opening. Motor driven brush rollers are mounted just behind the slot and parallel therewith whilst guide means are mounted along the walls inside the cleaning compartment so that the dirty grids can be easily inserted therein where they are instantly cleaned by the rotating brushes. The cleaning compartment can be provided with a removable dirt collecting tray and the brush rollers can also be designed for easy removal and subsequent cleaning.
