Onegas is fed from below into the bell(1), and the other is fed into the top part of the case; in its extreme positions the bell operates valves blocking gas admission to the corresponding chamber; the bell position is the measure for the differential pressure. Further valves are provided inside the case, one in the bell wall near its bottom edge, a second in the outlet of the pipe feeding gas into the bell, and the third between the gas inlet at the case tope and the upper gas chamber; the first valve consists of one or several holes in the bell wall made at the same level.
