The shortening claw consists of two hooks, each having a shank, arched section, and tooth. The hooks are positioned parallel to each other, at a distance, which is slightly more than the thickness of a chain link, and are connected at the rear. Each hook has pocket-like recesses on the insides of arched section and tooth, corresponding to the shape of the chain links. The tension elements are formed by clamps (24), positioned between the hooks (2) in the region between shanks (4), and arched sections (5). The clamps support themselves on the arched end surfaces of a chain link (8), passing through the slot between the hooks, near the arched sections. The clamps are subjected to an elastically flexible return pressure element (30).
|
