Telescopic tow bar for boat trailer - with extended locked setting to push trailer into water using car

The tow bar of the boat trailer is made up of two or three telescopic sections with the ends of the sections provided with welded on sleeves to prevent the sections from being pulled apart. For normal transport the tow bar is secured in its short setting. To launch the boat the tow bar is pulled out to its fullest extent, using the car without uncoupling the tow bar, and is secured in its extended position by safety bolts. The trailer can be then pushed for into the water by backing the car. The same pin is used to secure all the section when used in the retracted towing position.
