Combustible moulding material for shell cartridges - contg. polyvinylnitrate, nitrocellulose and nitro-2-diphenyl methane as stabiliser

Polyvinyl nitrate - based mouldable thermoplastic composition contains nitrocellulose and/or polyvinyl acetate, and nitro-2 diphenylamine as stabiliser. The composition is entirely combustible and highly energetic and is used for cartridges which provide improved propulsion of artillery shells. The process involves no new plant and mfr. is simple and can be automated without risk.
