The three milling machines are arranged around a rotating table. The work is loaded and unloaded at station, is machined by the horizontal miller at station, is machined by the vertical miller at station and finally machined by the vertically mounted cutter at station. Each milling machine is built from the same standard parts, but mounted so that each slide moves in a different axial direction. The standard parts are, the base unit with guide rails, the traversing drive, the milling cutter spindle housing the end plate and the extension piece. This arrangement permits more intensive use of machines made from standard parts.
