Stabilised anti blocking brakes - with variable flow restriction to smooth out pressure changes at wheel cylinders

The anti-blocking brake control has two electro-magnetic valves in parallel bores in a common housing, with one valve closing off the line between the master brake cylinder and the wheel brakes and the other valve venting the wheel brakes. Between the valves is a third bore containing a pressure control valve which alters the hydraulic flow in the braking system after one valve has operated. This is controlled by the differential pressure between the output of the master brake cylinder and the wheel brake pressure and has the effect of modulating the pressure rise in the wheel brakes after the anti-blocking function is lifted.
