<p>Nialco type ferromagnetic alloys are thermomagnetically treated by homogenisation at high temp., cooling rapidly to ambient temp. to freeze the alpha-phase, annealing at 600-100 degrees C. in a magnetic field, then tempering for 1-20 hrs. at 500-650 degrees C., esp. in two phases, 1 hr. at 640 degrees C. followed by 5 hrs. at 520 degrees C. The alloy comprises 18% Co together with 9-15% Al, 15-30% Ni, 0-6% Cu, 0-8% Ti, bal. Fe, and opt. other metal(loid)s, such as Si, Nb, Ta and Zr, present as impurities. The alloys have improved magnetic properties.</p> |
