PVAc compsn. consists of powdered mixt. of PVAc and sodium alginate that can be dispensed in water. The mixt. pref. contains 0.5-3.5 wt.% sodium alginate and 99.5-96.5 wt.% PVAc compsn. easily disperses in water to form a very stable emulsion. Used in adhesives, cement hydraulic binders, and paints.
