Each side of the frame has bias cut ends and a slot enclosed on three sides, and partly enclosed on the fourth. The sides are cut from a single extruded bar and their ends receive flat corner connectors (10). The connectors are locked in position by screws (12) accessible through the slots. Glass, painting and backing board are placed in position under lips (6a) on the front edges of the sides before assembly of the frame. The frame can be fixed in any structure by the near extension.
