Liq treatment of textile by passage through a channel - to which liq is fed and which is formed between two blocks pivoted together

Liq. treatment of a textile (e.g. layer of yarns, woven or non-woven web) is effected by passage through a rectangular cross section channel, the textile being advanced by feed rolls at the entry to the channel and delivery rolls at the exit to the channel, and treatment liq. being directed into the channel from a reservoir through nozzles connecting with the channel adjacent its entrance. The channel is formed between a pref. fixed lower block and an upper block which is hinged to the lower block along a side edge the other edge of the blocks are provided with flexible lips to seal the side of the channel. The upper block can be easily pivoted upwardly for inspection of the fabric or cleaning etc.
