The front side of the farrowing pen has a feeding-trough (1) with grille (2) above it, and fixed to a support-frame (3) let into the floor. The frame (3) has vertical uprights (4, 5) to which grille-type sides (6, 7) are adjustably fixed. To the inside of at least two of the horizontal grille-bars (9) of the sides (6, 7) are fixed U-shaped fender clamps (10) at right angles to the lengthwise sides (6, 7). A vertical gap (13) wide enough for a piglet to squeeze through, is left between the clamps. The tubular brackets (11) fixing the fender clamps to the horizontal grille-bars (9) each have a bolt.
