The adjustable switch responds to shock and is capable of being calibrated and adjusted. It is intended particularly as an actuator for burgler alarms fitted to window panes. The shock responding contact consists of a leaf spring (12) clamped at one side and provided with a vibratory mass (13). The free oscillating length of the leaf spring can be varied in the assembled state of the switch and its abutment force against the associated rest contact can be adjusted. The oscillating leaf spring is preferably mounted parallel to the switch housing bottom (11). The switch proper may be located at the points of maximum oscillation amplitude on the window pane. The lead spring oscillation length change may be varied by suitable clamping.
