<p>Sorting machine with feeding and collecting equipment for sheets includes a number of vertically spaced shelves in which the sequentially delivered and sorted sheets are stacked. Each shelf is fitted with a finger unit by which the sheets are guided on the shelves. Each shelf (30) is provided with a device for stopping and holding the sheets (P). It is positioned in the path of the moving sheets and is fitted with a transversally projecting rod (60). The rod (60) has an inclined surface (62) which engages the front end of an oncoming sheet (P). It is held in position by means (40-50) by which the rod (60) is also adjusted towards, or away from, the finger unit (F) in order to cater for sheets of different length.</p> |
