1498581 Automatic control L SCHULER GmbH 7 Jan 1976 [23 Jan 1975] 00492/76 Heading G3N A circuit for controlling working steps of a mechanical press and/or a transfer arrangement associated with the press comprises a pulse generator associated with a drive shaft of a press drive and a control pulse distribution means associated with the desired working steps, a monitoring means rendering control inoperative in the event of an incorrect control pulse. As shown, coded control pulses from a transducer 1, coupled to a drive shaft of a press, (not shown) are passed through a decoder 2 and an amplifier 3 to a cross-bar distributer 4. The outputs of the distributer are fed to amplifier 5, having input storage units, controlling activators 6 for the working steps of the press, or a controllable tool belonging to the press or an input or output transfer arrangement, or a conveyer between presses. The coded and decoded control pulses are fed to a monitoring unit 7 which renders the amplifier 5 inoperative in the event that an incorrect pulse occurs; an alarm 8, lamp or horn, is simultaneously operated. The decoded control pulses are displayed on an indicator 9. The alarm 8 also prevents the operation of the press and transfer arrangement if the operating voltages are not available for control. |
