<p>A wine tank, cylindrical in shape, supported by at least one journal in a bearing, has an unloading cover sealing an opening extending across the full width of the lower section of its one end. The other end has an arrangement for coupling to a lifting defice by which the axis of the vessel can be tilted to any desired angle, in the direction of the first end, for unloading the lees. No excessive load is imposed on the manhole cover seals, and the lees can be easily cleaned out, even when they adhere to the lining.</p> |
