1,017,206. Electrophotographic processes. HARRIS-INTERTYPE CORPORATION. June 7, 1962 [June 8, 1961], No. 34462/65. Divided out of 1, 017, 204. Heading G2H. A method of forming a plurality of images in oriented relationship to each other comprises the steps of electrostatically forming a first image on an image-receiving surface, electrostatically forming a registration mark on said surface in predetermined relationship to the first image, and electrostatically forming one or more further images on the surface in succession to the tion of the first image in positions controlled by the location of the registration mark. The images may be of different patterns and each may be rendered visible in a colour different from that of the other images by treatment with an appropriate electrostatic image developing material. As described the images are formed electrophotographically by charging and exposing a photoconductive surface on a web and each image formed is developed before the next is produced, the registration mark being formed by charging exposure and developed at the first station and being detected at subsequent stations to control formation of a multicolour image consisting of registered colour separation records. The description is included in Specification 1, 017, 204. |
