Hot air stream oven for shrink fitting plastic wrappers - using deflectors to concentrate heat on film-covered zones

Preheated air is blown downwards into a chamber and guided towards selected zones on the wrapped articles by baffles which are adjustable for position and angle. Air is collected near the base or walls of the chamber for recycling to the overhead blower/heater systems. The air temps. are not uniform throughout the chamber but are varied in a controlled manner to achieve different degrees of wrapper shrinkage and/or to avoid over-heating other parts of the packages. Used e.g. for heat shrink wrapping bottle tops etc.
