<p>The carbon is made from two pieces of cardboard, one for the box and one for the lid. The box has a flat base, and the ends (2, 3) are extended into the flaps (7) which form the sides of the box. The sides are re-inforced by folding over the flap (4) on the outside and its extension (9) inwards. The slots in the side are cut to take the tongues on the outer edge on the flap extension (9). These tongues protrude vertically downwards below the base and give the base a central hump. This causes the melted ice in the carton to flow out through the drain hole (16).</p> |
