The disc brake assembly has two parallel columns (12) which are anchored in the brake mounting plate. They locate the sliding part of the brake of the brake yoke (26). The bearing bush which slides on the column (12) has an oil seal located at each end (28). The seal location is followed by a radial oil groove and a noise reducing O-ring. To prent dirt from reaching the bearing bore inside the bush (26), a radial scraper ring is included in each seal assembly. The scraper ring location in the seal ring is such that whilst it restricts axial movement it allows radial ring motion.
