The folding chair is made of wood and has a slatted seat (3) and back (4), joined by a pivot (C). The front legs (1) are pivoted (A) to the seat and, at their top (B), to the armrests (5). There is a cross bar (7) between the front legs. The rear legs (2) pivot (F) on the armrests and have a cross bar (9) between. When erected, the seat is supported on a metal latch (6), pivoting (E) between the seat sides and bearing on the front cross bar (7). A fixed wedge (8) locks it in place. The rear legs are blocked by their cross bar (9) contacting a shoulder (4a) on the bottom of the chair back.
