1481375 Carrier bag tube BAG SYSTEM AB 14 July 1975 [15 July 1974] 29401/75 Heading B8K A flattened tube of weldable sheet material for the production of carrier bags has at each edge a gusseted region comprising four layers of material 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d substantially equal in thickness, and between the gussets a central region made up of two layers of material; each layer having alternating ribs 4 and bands 5 parallel to the length of the tube, each rib 4 being of lesser width and greater thickness than each band 5 and the total thickness of a rib and a band corresponding approximately to the total thickness of the four material layers of the gussets. As described the ribs have a thickness of 100 Ám. the bands 50 Ám. and the material layers of the gussets 40 Ám. The construction is such that on rolling the tube an even roll is formed. The widths of the bands 5 may be varied. |
