<p>Seal for the tangential gaps in rotary piston engines with circular working cylinders, in which seals (10, 30) have teeth (11, 31) which possess parallel directed sealing tooth edges (12, 32) which contact the similarly directed tooth edges (13) of the component to be sealed. The sealing tooth edges (12, 32) effect parallel displacements in order to contact angularly at their sealing location on the seal surfaces (15, 29), motivated by spring, gas or centrifugal forces. The seal units are formed as check pieces, which are more or less firmly attached to the corresponding piston, and complement the teeth (13) on the part to be sealed as far as the piston hub, and with them seal against the teeth of another sealing unit (10).</p> |
