Protection circuit for TDM transmission - uses second number of time slots for block repetition in case of interference

<p>The protection circuit is for data transmitted in duplex in communication systems. It uses a TDM channel for alternate transmission in both directions with equal transmission periods. A redundant testing code and tolerance detectors are used for error detection and correction. They initiate repetition of signal parts which cannot be corrected. Several time slots allocated to one transmission direction form a common frame. A first number of time slots is used for transmission of a data block each at an increased bit rate, and a second number of time slots is used for block repetition in case of interference.</p>
