<p>The shearing machine can cut plates at various angles. It has two vertical shoulder plates(13, 14) which have top and bottom horizontal pieces (13a, 13b) joined together by a vertical piece(13d) to form a C-shape plate. The extremities of the horizontal pieces are pivoted about a vertical axis to a support frame and the top horizontal pieces have vertical guides to support the moving knife edges of the machine whilst the bottom horizontal pieces support the fixed knife edges. A vertical stanchion(2) fixed to the base of the machine(1) has a projecting support(3) at the top which houses a hydraulic jack used to operate the moveable knife edges.</p> |
