The switch contact module allows a number of switching operations to be obtained by the choice of individual modules which can be mounted on a common drive shaft driven from a timer mechanism. Each module comprises a housing (10) which may be mounted on a standard rail. Each has screw terminals (15a-b) for electrical connections. A central spindle (33) driven from the control motor or preceding module has provision for an extension shaft with which to drive another switch module stacked alongside. The transparent cover gives access to an indicator disc (14) which is friction-coupled to the input shaft. The edge of the disc is graduated in time units or other markings. Two setting discs (11a-b) operating in conjunction with a cam plate allow operating positions to be set for the quick make- and-break changeover contact.
