<p>New'superfluidisers' compsns. contg. inorganic binders, water and opt. fillers or other additives, are long-chain amides of lysalbic acid and/or their reaction prods. with formaldehyde, opt. their mixts. with other fluidisers. The binders are cement (pref.), lime, anhydrite, magnesite and/or gypsum. The fillers and additives may include ash, sand, gravel, inorganic or organic foams, fibres, sound- and heat-insulating materials, corrosion inhibitors, antifreezes, wetting agents, setting accelerators or retardants, pore forming agents, thickeners, foaming agents or foam suppressors, and colouring agents. The viscosity of fluid binder-contg. compsns. is decreased so that their water content can be reduced withoutimpariing their workability. The amides of lysalbic acid are more effective in this respect than the known fluidisers.</p> |
