<p>A paint roller with a conventional cylindrical plastics foam applicator surface has a rod frame with one end passing through the cylinder acting as a spindle, and bent over with a shorter portion parallel to the spindle, with a brush attached to it. The handle is mounted on a further extension of the rod so as to slope at an angle of 45 deg. to the plane of the brush. This brush is slightly wider than the roller and is used to distribute the paint more evenly and also to eliminate air bubbles, especially in adverse conditions. In an alternative design, the handle is fastened by a block onto the spindle, and a screw on the block allows the handle to be locked at a required angle.</p> |
