In planetary reduction gearing comprising a sun gear 60 on an input shaft 62, planet pinions 58 mounted on a planet carrier 36 secured to an output shaft 28, and a ring gear 14 mounted in a gear-box 10, the output shaft 28 is mounted in the gear-box 10 by means of angular contact ball bearings 24, 26, the inner race of the bearing 24 being formed on the planet carrier 36. The planet pinions 58 are retained on pins 52 by a ring 46. The outer races of the bearings may be formed on a single shell 18 or, alternatively, individual outer races may be used. |
