<p>The device for removing body tissue growths has a hook (2) next to which is a sliding knife (3). The hook is in good heat conducting contact with an evaporation chamber (5) which is provided, through a tube (5) with a liquid coolant. For heating the hook (2) inside the chamber (4) is an insulated electric heater element (6) in contact with the chamber walls (7). The knife (3) is fitted to a sliding tube (8) surrounded by a heat insulating material. By sliding the knife up the hook side a scissor action is obtained. This can be achieved using finger rungs on the tubes or by a pedal. The device removes tissue growths from a body with a minimum of discomfort to the patient.</p> |
