The bearing housing for ball, roller and other bearings consists of a fixing part and an insert. The fixing part has a flange and the bores required to fasten it to the machine. The latter has the recesses for the bearing, the seal and the shaft and fits with a male cone into a female cone on the fixing part bore. A bayonet lock keeps the two parts together. This can be used to accept a variety of inserts for different shaft, bearing or seal sizes. The fixing part (1) of the housing has a flange (2) with the necessary fixing holes (3) and a bore to accept the insert (4). The insert has a bore for the shaft and recesses for the bearing and the seals. It fits into a conical section of the part (1). When fully inserted, two keys (11, 12) which slide along grooves are turned with the insert to form a bayonet lock with notches (17, 18).
|
