Flexible offset printing plate cylinder clamp - has elastic tubular clamping body and elastic strip located in cylinder groove

The cylinder clamp is esp. designed for holding a flexible offset printing plate and comprises a groove running a parallel to the cylinders axis. A clamping body (10) with a tubular or cylindrical shape is made of an oil - and benzen - resistant elastic plastic and is located in the groove. One end of the plate is hooked on the groove wall while the other end is clamped between the tubular body and an elastic strip (12) bolted (14) to a spindle in the groove. The spindle has a flat top surface (16) on which the clamping body rests. The clamping is effected by rotation of the spindle which causes the strips to compress the clamping body and hold fast the plate ends.
