The disc brake has fixed brake carrier and saddle gripping the brake disc. Elastically deformable guide elements are provided for connecting brake pad carriers and the saddle. These elements are in friction contact with guide faces on the saddle or brake pad carrier arms. The force required for elastic deformation is smaller than the friction force. This arrangement ensures equal restoration displacement of the brake saddle after each braking process over the brake pad clearance distance. The elastic deformability of the guide element (8) in the axial direction of the brake disc (1) is limited to the extent of the brake pad clearance from the brkae disc. This clearance distance is ensured by a stop.
