1499292 Scaffolding FORM-SCAFF (PTY) Ltd 22 April 1976 [24 April 1975] 16363/76 Heading E1S A scaffolding element comprises a right angled triangular frame housing a vertical member 12, a horizontal member 14 and an inclined member 16 with an end element 18 at the joint between the horizontal and inclined members in the form of a U-shaped locating and locking yoke having an aperture 26 of diameter slightly greater than the diameter of the vertical member 12 and slot 30 being slightly wider than the diameter of the vertical member 12, the distance between the aperture and slot being slightly greater than the distance between the end of the vertical mmber 12 and the underside of the horizontal member 14. Three or more such elements may be connected as in Fig. 1 to form one course of a scaffold tower. Further courses may be built up using locating pins 36 and locking pins 40 to connect the vertical members of the elements. |
