The diaphragm valve chamber is partitioned by flexible diaphragm. A valve plate contacts valve seat with a concentric support ring, which has sharp end, edge and radial holes. The valve plate rests, in the closed position, against the sharp end edge and on the valve seat. The valve plate moves in straight line without rocking. The support ring is held on the valve seat mounting plug. The valve seat and support ring form an integral unit with the mounting plug. The diaphragm has a pocket for holding the valve plate loosely. This plate is centered by a valve spring coaxial to the valve seat. |
