<p>A drinking trough for dogs, sheep and zoo animals, comprises a platform arranged to tilt under the weight of the animal to open the water inlet valve (3) via rods (6). A float is connected by a rod (7) to a float valve (2) in the supply tube (4) to cut off the flow when a chosen water level is reached. The inlet valve comprises a rectangular plate provided with opening in equal dia. to the supply pipe and arranged to slide up-and-down into and out of alignment with the pipe. A return spring is provided above the inlet valve and a return spring (5) is provided for the float valve.</p> |
