<p>A progressive wave electronic tube has two modes of operation for radar and electronic counter measure equipment. It can operate continuously at low power or pulsed at high power. The tube has two electron guns (1, 2) to provide two concentric electron beams with different velocities and in the same direction. It also has a first delay line (3) receiving a high frequency signal for amplification and controlling the two electron beams. A second delay line (4) controls the high energy and velocity beam. A third delay line (5) controls the two beams and an output signal line (7).</p> |
