Carded fibre blanket cleaning unit - having a rotating sieve with inner suction unit, in contact with moving blanket

To clean a moving blanket of carded fibre material, suction is applied to draw out any dirt. The cleaning unit incorporates a rotating sieve to allow air to be drawn through the blanket and through the sieve. Pref. a suction jet is located within the sieve structure, in the assembly located near the squeeze rollers of the carding machine. The sieve is a woven band or a rigid tube, which moves in the same direction as the blanket. The system gives an intensified cleaning action, partic. to remove dust, short fibres, husk debris and neps.
