Bottle stopper with tear off strip - has inner skirt which may be pressed into neck when strip and cap have been removed

The stopper has a membrane (4) which covers the bottle neck. The main stopper (5) has cylindrical outside surface (7) and a flat circular top. A tear-off strip (8) fits onto the lower edge of the stopper and has an inner ring (9) which fits in a groove in the neck of the bottle, and fixes the stopper in position. A lug (15) integral with the stopper is covered by the tear-off strip. When the bottle has been opened and the membrane is discarded, the stopper is pushed in so that the inner cylinder (10) fits the inside of the neck.
