The readily assembled knock-down shelving comprises uprights (2) and shelving panels (7) held thereon by means of supports which are positively but detachably connected to the uprights (2) by means of holes (4) and interacting ratchet elements (3) and to the panels (7) by means of openings (9) and cams (8) which pass through same. The points of connection between the supports and the shelf panels (7) and the openings (9) and cams (8) are pref. set at a distance from the uprights (2). This separates the connections between the supports and uprights on the one hand and the shelf panels and supports on the other which means easier assembling and dismantling without a specific sequence having to be followed.
