Electrical rotating machine frame - has two tubular sleeves with fixed interconnecting longitudinal pole pieces

The electrical rotating machines frame (1) is formed from two identical parts (2b). Each part has longitudinal and angular centring devices. The parts (2b) are axially assembled and hold the stator windings with respect to pole pieces. Each of the two parts has a tubular sleeve (2) inside of which are arranged pairs of longitudinal pole pieces (3). One half of the pole pieces (3) extend beyond an end of the sleeve whilst the others do not reach the end of the sleeve. All the opposed ends of the pole pieces finish short of the end of the opposed end of the sleeve. Each pole piece which extends beyond the end of the sleeve has a female centring slot (5) in it. The other pole pieces have a male centring rib (6) in them.
