The strap and button are used for quilting and buttoning and comprise a short length of upholstery braiding (1) or similar material. At one end of the braiding being anchored into the bar. At the other end, a plastic disc (3) is similarly moulded onto the length of braiding. This disc has an annular groove (4) around the edge of the disc, forming a seating for a decorative head (5). This latter is a metal or plastic dome, covered with a suitable fabric and clipped over the disc.
