<p>Anti-cryptogamic compsns. contg. cupric ions fixed to an ion exchange material, are new. The pref. ion exchange material is a sulphonated styrene-divinyl benzene copolymer. This is treated with cupric ions until it contains 150 g Cu++ per kg. The application rate of this material is 1-3 kg/ha. The compsns. are esp. used in the treatment of attacks by Plasmapara viticola (downy mildew) on vines. The green parts of the vine contains H, Ca, K, Fe and Mn ions which exchange with Cu on the resin. This makes the compsns. very effective and they are not washed off by resin etc.</p> |
