A ceiling paper applicator roller (1) is mounted in bearings (2) attached to a bar (3). The latter is screwed to a rod (5) which fits inside a tube (7). The roller can be locked at the working height by the thumb screws (6). A cross bar (18) welded to the tube has U shaped brackets (15) for clamping to the rung of a step ladder. A tie bar (9) attached to the upper end of the tube provides additional support. The roller presses the paper against the ceiling as the step ladder is moved across the floor.
