<p>The valve fitting of the split sleeve type may be installed on water supply pipes. It has a valve body (38) which screws directly into the top section (21) of the sleeve. The bottom section (7) of the sleeve is also adapted for wall mounting. The fitting is partic. for installation on existing pipes without interrupting the supply and has a threaded hollow pipe spigot (30) which enters the main as the body (38) is screwed home. The bottom section of the sleeve (33) may be incorporated in a base plate (7). The plate (7) may be flanged to locate holes (36) for e.g. screws fixing it to a wall, and also may have sec. holes (5a) with captive nuts for the bolted connection of the top section (21).</p> |
